The Beginning
Onventis was founded in Stuttgart in 2000. As a cloud pioneer, we started in the field of e-procurement with Application Service Providing (ASP), a business model in which software solutions are operated in our own data center on our own servers and made available online on a license basis.
Launch of the Tradecore Brand
The first version of our e-procurement software is launched under the name TradeCore. The TradeCore e-procurement software offers opportunities for the digitalization of operational and strategic purchasing.
1st Onventis customer in the industrial sector
With Schott AG, the leading international technology group in the fields of specialty glass and glass ceramics, Onventis wins its first industrial customer. With Onventis as its e-procurement platform, Schott launches the digitalization of global sourcing. Today, Onventis is in use at 26 Schott locations in 13 countries.
1st wholesale customer
The purchasing and marketing association German Iron Trader GmbH (GIT) provides its members with the Onventis e-procurement solution “Trade Core Shop & Procure”. GIT is Europe's largest purchasing and marketing association in the production connection trade for around 1,200 medium-sized trading companies.
1st Onventis customer in the services sector
With DEKRA SE, Onventis gains one of the world's leading expert organizations as its first service customer. The smart solutions from Onventis were initially used by DEKRA for digital orders and are now a globally integrated purchase-to-pay solution.
1. Onventis Branch Solution
At the Steigenberger Hotel Group (later Deutsche Hospitality and today H World International), one of the leading hotel companies in Europe, incorporates Onventis products as a branch solution.
Frank Schmidt becomes Managing Shareholder
Frank Schmidt became a managing partner at Onventis on February 1, 2013. Previously, he was responsible for sales and marketing as well as strategic alliances at Heiler Software AG in Stuttgart and was Managing Director at international IT service provider Atos from 1997 to 2006.

With Sell-Side Procurement, Onventis is introducing an innovative sales tool for suppliers. The supplier modules offer targeted sales solutions for suppliers. With Conrad Electronic, one of the world's largest players in mail order and retail for electronics, Onventis wins its first customer for the new business model.

Onventis is one of the first European e-procurement providers to integrate Amazon Business into structured purchasing processes. Today, as a full-service partner for Amazon Business in Europe, Onventis offers a suitable end-to-end integration for purchasing processes in Amazon Business for every requirement.

The combination of both product portfolios expands the e-procurement offering, particularly in the fast-growing market for fully automated invoicing solutions.

Hello, Vienna! Onventis founds new national subsidiary in Austria
